In Berlin, a Syrian refugee unexpectedly recognizes the voice of his former interrogator.
Determined to seek justice, he reaches out to a German lawyer to file a case against him.
The decision sets off a journey of revelation and concealment, memory and forgetting while raising
profound questions about the morality and the subjectivity nature truth under a regime of terror.
The play premiered at Freiburg Theater in a German translation in 2024.
Now, for the first time, the manmaRo group in collaboration with DT, will present a staged reading
in the original Arabic.
